Greetings:

The National Association of Motor Vehicle Boards and Commissions (NAMVBC) will be holding its Annual Fall Workshop October 9-13, 2010 at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Biloxi, Mississippi. We are looking forward to great meetings and exciting activities.

Attached is an outline of the scheduled meetings and activities, so that you may mark your calendar and make your reservations soon. Based on our attendance and comments from our 2009 Fall conference in Charleston, South Carolina, we are anticipating record participation; it is important for you to contact the hotel as soon as possible.

The workshop provides a forum for the exchange of information and ideas of common interest. Since we are still in the process of scheduling our speakers, if you have any suggestions for speakers and/or topics for the agenda, please contact either myself or Chuck Nelms by telephone or email. For the first time in the history of the NAMVBC, we will be having several joint workshop sessions with the International Association of Lemon Law Administrators (IALLA). During discussions with NAMVBC members who are also IALLA members, it was apparent that both organizations have many issues in common and the idea of some joint workshop sessions was hatched. Most likely, this will occur on Monday, October 11. The actual agenda will be finalized as we get closer to the workshop dates.

The cost of the workshop is $200 per person for registration prior to September 9, 2010; the cost will include several meals and activities. After September 9, 2010, the cost will be $250 per person. Enclosed is a Workshop Registration form; please send it to the address on the form as soon as possible.

The Beau Rivage Hotel has set aside a number of rooms for the NAMVBC. The special rate negotiated for the attendees of NAMVBC is $149 plus taxes from Thursday-Saturday and $89 plus taxes from Sunday-Tuesday. To make reservations, please call the hotel reservations toll-free at (888) 567-6667. When calling, please identify that you are attending the National Association of Motor Vehicle Boards and Commissions (NAMVBC) workshop in order to receive our special group rate. Our block of rooms will be held until August 9, 2010. After that date, any rooms still being held for us will be released. Please visit their website at www.beaurivage.com.

As you can see, Chuck Nelms has planned some exciting activities for us; and they are included as part of the workshop! So, please call and make your hotel reservations and complete and mail your workshop registration as soon as possible. I’m looking forward to seeing you there.
